· Every 2nd Tuesday—The FireAnts!  Live music with Sacramento’s very own Tango Band.  7PM lesson, 8PM to 10PM live music.  Firehouse 5 Dance, 2014B 9th Street (between T & U) Sacramento.  $5 to $10 donation at door.

DANCING AS AN ARGENTINE:

(Beginners-Intermediate-Advanced)

Discovering those elements in the dance which differentiate an Argentine dancer to the rest. Uncover subtleties which bring more clarity to our leading and more comfort and confidence to our following, enabling us to better enjoy Argentine Tango. We will work using exercises and sequences that expand our capacity to lead and be led, revealing those details that help us develop our potential in these areas. This will include alternative approaches to improve the intention of leaders and the sensitivity of followers.

1:15 to 2:45pm: Walking with elegance & comfort:  (step projection, axis, balance, elegance, breathing, secrets of the embrace)

3:00 to 4:30PM: Cadences and enrichment of movements (experimenting with the different layers of the dance and those elements which bring more quality to our movements.)

At door:  $25 for one workshop or $40 for both

Pre-registration: $20 for one workshop or $35 for both

Amy & Santiago will also be at Tango by the River in Old Sacramento on Saturday, March 13th—Click here to learn more!

ALSO IN MARCH, MARCH 5-7, 2010 -- PART II — Workshops with Homer & Cristina Ladas
